About the Role
As a Litigating Attorney at Lee, Gober & Reyna, you will handle personal injury claims from start to finish with support from our team of highly skilled legal professionals.
Duties include:
- Evaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly.
- Work with case paralegal to draft, review, and modify claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documents.
- Take depositions.
- Examine case evidence and prepare for mediation, hearings, depositions, and trial.
- Negotiate suitable agreements and settle on the clients’ behalf when appropriate.
- Represent the client at hearings, trials, mediations, depositions, and litigation.
- Document and update the status of all case files in the case management system.
- First Chair trial experience
- Licensed to practice law in Texas and possess valid Texas Bar Card
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent legal research, writing and oral argument capabilities.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Provide an exceptional client experience with strong sensitivity and empathy.
- The ideal candidate enjoys handling a variety of injury cases beyond motor vehicle accidents.
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus but not required.
- Base Salary of up to $100,000 plus bonuses
- 401K Match
- 10 days Paid Time Off (flexible with commission and workload)
- 2:2 Attorney/paralegal ratio (non-assigned)
